Tabletop Tuesday: Turquoise Key

Oct 26, 2017 | Entertaining, See+Hear+Heart | 0 comments

Tabletop Tuesday is an uplifting setting of turquoise and gold featuring the eternally classic and modern Greek key pattern. This setting repeats the plate colors of white, turquoise and gold with the linens, flatware and glass. For contrast, I included these fun pear-shaped red candles.

This repeating geometric pattern was originally a border used in architectural details and pottery. In Ancient Greece, it symbolized infinity and the eternal flow of life as characterized by the flow of the river Meander. That river is the origin of the motif name.

Food and fellowship are part of the eternal flow of life. Both are vehicles to sustaining ourselves. Take heart in your ability to enjoy meals by yourself and the ones you share with others.

Now if I were just near my favorite Greek restaurants, this plate would be loaded!
