Fabric can make a piece of furniture or an accessory. Reupholstering fabric on your treasured furniture is a dying art. Thankfully, Nicole Crowder, a young Washingtonian, is keeping upholstery traditions alive and well with a rapidly expanding business. She designs and reimagines furniture with a contemporary flair that defies periods. She uses textiles from around the world and often mixes colors, patterns and even appliques in her designs. Her vibe is energetic, eclectic and visually stunning. In just six short years, she has assembled an impressive residential, hospitality and commercial client base as well as press coverage.
